The Impact of Information Security Management on Digital Transformation in Private Banks in Yemen

The study examined the predictive relationship between information security management (information confidentiality, information integrity, information availability, and information freshness as a supplementary indicator) and digital transformation in the banks included in the study frame in Yemen. The study used a quantitative approach, both descriptive and analytical. The sampling frame comprised 634 employees in supervisory and operational positions across 9 banks. A questionnaire was the primary tool for data collection. A total of 405 valid responses were analyzed. Data were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods within SPSS v26. The study findings showed a strong positive association between information security and digital transformation in the sample. Confidentiality and information freshness made statistically significant predictive contributions, whereas availability and integrity did not make significant individual contributions when entered with the other indicators. The cross-sectional design does not establish causality. The study also recommended the need to conduct further studies aimed at investigating digital transformation, information security, and modern technologies in the banking sector, especially with the rapid development of artificial intelligence tools and the challenges that accompany this development.
